CUSTOMS DUTIES.

The total amount of revenue eolleoted at the Oamaru Customs during the month of September L 1147 15s 3d for September of 1879. The following is a, detailed list of the duties :—■ £ s. d. The total amount of beer duty collected was L 47 15s. The total duty collected during the quarter amounted to L 152 14s, but of this sum L6B 8s 9d'had to be refunded owing to the reduction of the tax. (by telts&raph.) Wellington,. The Customs revenue for' September amounted to L 2199 17s 4d. For the corresponding montli of last year it was L 1284 15s Id. Napier," October 1. ; The Customs returns for the quarter are L 7601 6s Bd. Those for the corresponding quarter of last year were L 8365 ,15s 9d. For the month just ended the returns are L 3309 4s 6d.
