(SPECIAL TO SYDNEY MORNING HERALD.) London, August 31. General Roberts has arrived at Candahar. Ayoub Khan has withdrawn his entire force to Argandate, north of the city. He was prevented by the Cabul regiments from retiring to Gereshk and Helmund. General Phayres' intended co-operation with General Roberts has been delayed. Four land meetings were held in Ireland on Sunday, when were passed in favor of abolishing landlordism.
