(reuteb's telegram per press association.) Calcutta, September 6. Further intelligence has been received of the engagement between the British troops and Ayoub Khan at Candahar. The afeyw that General itobei-ts feigned an 'attack in full force on Ayoub's entrenchments at Bahawhir and Kotal. He succeeded in turning the enemy's position, when they found their retreat cut off by an ov@piyli£lftiing force |n their rear, by which they were completely routed.
