(reoter's telegram, pur press association) London, August 14. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,820,000 quarters. Adelaide wheat, 48s 6d per 496 lbs, ex warehouse ; Adelaide flour, 36s per 280 lbs, ex warehouse • New Zealand wheat, 475, ex ship, Best Sydney copra, LI 9. General Lefroy will be appointed provisionally Administrator of the Government of Tasmania, pending the arrival of Sir George Strahan, the newly-appointed Governor, who governs, at the Cape initil the arrival of Sir Hercules Robinson.
• The cricket match between the Australians and eighteen of Sunderland was resumed to-day.. The Australians continued their first innings, and put together 171 runs before the last wicket fell. Bannerman made the top score, 52, and was caught out. The Home team then went in for their second innings, but only succeeded in scoring--44, and the Australians, thus, wan the match in one innings with 38 runs to spare.
It is currently reported in St. Petersburgh that Ayoob Khan and Abdur Rahman are acting in collusion. A large number of supposed Fenian emissaries have arrived in Ireland. There have been 400 rifles purchased at Dublin, and taken to Cork. It is sus= pected that a complete Fenian organisation now exists in Ireland.
An inquiry has been held into tlie cause of the collision which took . place on the 18th of last month between the steamer Centurion and the sailing ship Hydaspes oft* Dungeness, by which the latter vessel was sunk. The Court, finds that both vessels were to, blame for the collision. A large meeting of the Home Hulers has been held at Glasgow, Thirty thousand Irishmen attended the meeting.

The hostile attitude continues on the increase, and active "warlike preparations are being made by Ayoob Khan for the purpose of making an assault on Candahar.
