The remainder of the meeting was devoted to going through the various . sections, in which some slight alterations were made.

"The Pilgrim's Progress" was given as a service of song last evening at the Wesley Church, and was fairly attended. Miss Crump accompanied on the harmonium, and was ably assisted' by Mr. H. Powell on the cornet. Mr. W. Ferrier read a portion of the service, and at the conclusion of the entertainment, votes of thanks were heartily accorded to the Chairman (Mr. T. M. A correspondent writes: —There was a meeting of residents of Moeraki at Mjujro's Hotel on Saturday last, Mr. Joseph Culling in the chair, to arrange for a dinner and dance for the Maoris. About twenty gentlemen were present, who liberally subscribed either in money of kind towards the proposed feast. It is supposed there will be about 200 natives, and witK the same number of Europeans, it will take something to feed them ; but from the quantities of good things that have been promised there will be enough and to spare. Liquors prohibited, their place being taken by tea and coffee. The feast is to take place on the 26tb instant. I may here state that this treat to the natives has arisen through their having invited the European settlers to two parties during the past month—one a birthday and the other a wedding—at both of which we were entertained most hospitably, the natives doing the honors of their table well. Would that such a feeling existed in Taranaki !
