A CHILD GORED BY A PIG.
(by telegraph.) Timabtj, .Tuly 16. At Saltwater Creek, near Timaru, yesterday, a child of two a son of a farmer named Wilson, was knocked down by a sow, gored with her tuskß, and so severely bitten that the child's life is despaired of. Two of tho fingers of tha left hand were bitten through, and had to be amputated at the while the child's head, face, and body are covered with lacerated wounds.
