THIS* DAY. (Before T. W. Parker, Esq., K.M.) Thomas Mitchell, for being drunk anil J disorderly, was fined '2oa, with the option of four days' hard labor. _ _ P Thomas Moore, for a similar offence, cia sentenced to pay a fine of or undergo 24 hoars' hard labor. John Greenfield was fined 3s for allowing a horse to wander at large in Gretastreet. John Bulleid, on the information of Serjeant Beatty, wa3 charged under the Employment of Females Act with having employed two girls after the hoar of 6 /> p.m. on the 16th Jane. As this wa3 the ~ tint offence, and it wa3 shown that Mr. Bulleid had always been very particular in dismissing hi 3 employes at the proper hour, the nominal penalty of 203 was inflicted. Messrs. Barracloagh and "Walsh, for > neglecting to keep a light burning from \ sunset to sunrise near a hole in jßeedatreat, was fined 20s. _ s< Joseph Jenkins received the following p cumulative sentences for the respective offences charged against him :—For being drunk and disorderly at the railway station H days imprisonment with hard labor; far obscene language, 14 days with the option of paying a fine of L 3; for assault- 7f ing Constable Christie, 21 days. -
