Five per cent New Zealand 10-40 Loan, 104 i ; 5 per cent New Zealand Loan, 1889, 104; per cent New Zealand Loan, 1879 to 3.904, 99i. Adelaide wheat, per 496 lbs ex warehouse, 47s 6d. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is L 17,000,000. The arrivals cf wool to date for nest auctions amount to 270,000 bales, and the probable quantity to be offered, including that left over froj# last auction, is 330,000 bales.
The cricket match between the Australians and eighteen of Newcastle-on-Tyne was commenced to-day. The Home team went in first and were all disposed of for 115. The Australians then went to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn had lost' two wickets for 101 runs, Murdoch being not out for 65 runs. July 2. In the House of Commons last night, a resolution, introduced by the Government, in favor of permitting members to make an affirmation instead of the customary oath of allegiance, was under 'discussion. It was debated at some length, and was finally agreed to by the House, on a division, by.a majority of 54 votes. Berlin, July 2.
The European Conferfence came to a final decision, on the questions which it has had under its consideration, and has presented a collective note to the Powers, notifying the result of its deliberations for the settlement of Turkish affairs. The Conference has now closed its sittings. St. Petersburgh, July 2.
An official 'denial is published of the news recently received that the Russians had been twice defeated by the Chinese in Central Asia, and that the latter had advanced and occupied Eastern Khokand. Mauritius, June 18.
Sailed, tonnage amounting to 700 tons, and 200 tons more have been chartered. Sugar crop accounts are now more favorable.

In the Legislative Assembly last night the Treasurer moved that an export- duty be substituted for the proposed royalty on coal. The resolution was adopted by the House.

The Queensland revenue Returns to the 30th June have been published, and show that the revenue for the last quarter amounted to L 409,000, or an increase of L 58,000 as compared with the June quarter of 1879. The total revenue for the year 1879-80 was L 1,482,000, against L 1,461,000 in 1878-79. The expenditure for the June quarter was L 538,000, an increase of IslfjfiOQ compared with that of the same quarter of last year. total expenditure for the year was L 1,673,000, against L 1,678,000 .in 1878-79. The total deficit on the 30th June, 1879, was DI77>OOQ, but it nowi stands at L239,Q0Q. I
