NARROW ESCAPE FROM A COLLISION.

Captain; Dick, 1 -of* the- schooner Endeavour, which arrived this morning from Oamaru, states that he narrowly escaped! running down a steamer, (supposed to be' the Stella) off Wellington Heads this, morning. The Endeavour was standing, 'towards * 'Heads,? -with. &■, stroDg breeze," when Captain Dick alleges' the' steamer attempted to cross his bows. The schooner was brought up in the wind, and the collision averted.
