In our advertising columns our readers will perceive a notification of an organ recital to be given at 'St. Luke's Church on Monday, the 21st inst., commencing at 8 p.m. Mr. A. R. Kelsey, lately organist pro tern, at St. Paul's Cathedral Church, Dunedin, will preside at the organ. It. i 3 quite unnecessary to dilate on the wellknown ability of this gentleman, a pupil of one of the most celebrated masters of the instrument in England, and himself an accomplished musician; we can only assure the public that an opportunity such as this rarely offers. The selections are made from the best known classical works, and will consist of solos, duets, and choruses, and organ pieces, by various composers, illustrating the many distinguished authors and the magnificent effects of which the king of musical instruments is capable. The seats will be considered free for the occasion, but there will probably be an offertory, the proceeds of which will be devoted to a special object.
