A despatch from the Indian Government lias been published, which states that the cost of the Afghan war will probably exceed the estimate by at least four million pounds. Calcutta, May 5. The latest news from. Afghanistan reports that Genial Stpwwt has replaced General Sir Frederick Roberts in the command of the British forces at Cabul. | j
