THE RANGITIKEI ELECTION.
Bulls (Rangitikei), April 16. Sir William Fox addressed the electors at Bulls last night, and avowed himself a warm supporter of the present Ministry. He attacked the Liberal party, and said they followed the Democracy of France, while the Constitutionalist party, with which he was connected, followed the American democracy. Speaking upon native affairs, he said there was no probability of another disturbance. Qn being asked if he would accept office if elected, he said that he he had no desire for office, and only under extreme circumstances would he accept it. A vote of thanks for his address and for coming forward as a candidate was moved. Thirty persons voted in favor of the motion and none against it. There were about 150 persons present. It is not yet definitely known whether or not Mr. M'Lean will come forward to contest the seat.
