Mr. M- Mortimerasked for a ditch to be deepened on road line through bis property, when it was resolved that the subcommittee examine it, with power to act. Moved by Mr. Manro, seconded by Mr. M'Kerrow, " That the Engineer be instructed to prepare plana and specifications fur new road through Mr. Coiling 3 land, and to examine the embankment at 3lr. Rowley's, underneath the railway bridge ; also, that tenders be called for next meetMoved by Mr. Andrew, seconded by Mr. M'Kerrow, " That the surfaceman be again employed, and that the sub-com-mittee employ one when required. Moved by Mr. Henderson, seconded by Mr. Riddel!, "That the surfaceman's 6s per dry." MV» d by Mr. Findlay, seconded by Mr. iDttabar, " That the Cierk be appointed to assist Mr. M'Kerrow with the commonage." Accounts amounting to L 35 6s 6d were passed for payment.
