The people of Luncan, Ontario, suspecting a family named Donnelly of numerous acts of incendiarism and other offences, formed a vigilance committee, attacked Donnelly's house, murdered all the five inmates, fired the building, and consumed the bodies at the same time. It was a horrible affair, and caused great excitement. Four arrests were made, one of the persons arrested being a constable. London, February 16.
