WAITAKI ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Waitaki Road Baard was held yesterday,; when there were present—Messrs. Connell (in the .chair), Borton, Smillie, Sumpter, Procter, Stewart, and Oliver (Engineer). The minutes of the last. meeting having been read and confirmed, the Engineer laid upon the table the plans and specifications for the formation of a road-line, from Gibson's Siding to Peebles. Tenders were ordered to be called for the work, to be sent in by next meeting. The -tender- of Mr. Thomas Wright (L 39 4s lOd) for contract No. SI was accepted. It was decided to give notice to Mr. M'Graill that unless he abated the nuisances caused by his pigs near the Cricket Ground, proceedings would be taken against him under the Public Health Act. Accounts to the amount of L3ll 5s 9d were passed for payment, and the Board rose.
