On Sunday morning Templeton and Lara did a good two-mile gallop, and finished together, but the old horse appeared to have the best of the spin. York and Chancellor both gallopad, the former not going so well as lately. The others only cantered. This morning Laertes did a mile arid a half fast, going fairly. King Quail had three miles stripped, stopping at the end of each mile and showing temper. Foul Play, in presence of his Excellency, his.owner, and Mr. Lance, after the others had gone home, did two miles in 3min 55sec, lathering freely at the Several cantered'on the beach. Mr. Walters'string and Hailstorm galloped, and Mr. Variance's walked. Hippocampus is .going in rattling form, and is much fancied. . . , LATEST BETTING ON THE CUP. 5 to' 2 agst.
