WARDEN'S COURT, LIVINGSTONE.

Wednesday, 14th January. (Before,H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.) ' * " APPLICATIONS GRANTED. The following applications were granted without objection-:—Henry Howe, residence area; R. Nicholson, extended claim, dams (2), tail race, branch water races (2) ; John Cook, extended claim, tail race ; Richard Cook, extended claim, tail race ; Joseph Neale, tail race; Jas. M'Donald, tail race ; M. M'Grath, extended claim ; Hugh Delaney, residence area ; Robert Storach, extended claim ; and Jas. M'Quade, extended claim. OBJECTION HEARD. The hearing of the application of C. F. Roberts for a tail race to be tunnelled through the spur below the township, which had been adjourned from the last Court, was resumed. Mr. Farquharson, one of the objectors, conducted the case for the objection, and Mr. Roberts supported his own applica- j tion. . The hearing had been adjourned partly with the object of affording the opportunity for the objectors to have an interview with Mr. M'Master, through whose freehold property they were intending to cut a channel to carry off tailings from workings in Pringle's Gully. Mr. Farquharson now informed the Warden that Mr. M'Master had granted free permission to carry a channel through hi# freehold. He said it was intended to construct a ma.in tail race, but. no application had as yet been drawn out. Mr. Roberts said he was willing to withdraw his application should a, main (tail race be applied for and the application be deemed satisfactory. ! The hearing was further adjourned sine die, with the expectation that plans would be prepared showing approximately the width and position of Mr. Roberts' proposed tail race and of the proposed main channel. NO APPEARANCE. The application of J. F. Botting for tail river, and of Jataes Botting for extended claim were struck out, there being no appearance of applicants. The remainder of the business consisted of transfers, renewals of licenses, and other matters of no interest except to the parties immediately concerned.
