NATIVE DISTURBANGE IN AUCKLAND.

Graham, STOvra, September 18. The settlers are becoming more and more dissatisfied with the way things are going on. Many of them live miles away from a township, and are 'in dread of a raid being made upon their hoiy.es some night and themselves and their families butchered. Tliey are not inclined to plant crops'for fear that they will not be able to gather them, and as many of them are engaged at drill the greatest part of the day, their cattle are unattended, and are consequently running wild. Mr. Puckev has promised to inform them when war has been declared. The pigeon which arrived from Omahu brings intelligence that the Ngatihakoe are most friendly. They are very anxious to know what the Government intend to do in the matter. Mr. Puckey has sent the following message per Advertiser pigeon : —Pareora, 5 p.m. The news transmitted last night was substantially correct. I have just attended a meeting at which it was decided to use every effort to convince the Ngatihakoes of their folly in holding out. Puopata Te Pohika left two hours ago for Onehakura, and will return to-night. Tukukino goes up there to-morrow, and if still unsuccessful the whole of the Ngatitamatere will go up the following day.
