SPECIAL CABLEGRAM.
[from our own correspondent.] London, August 19. At the wool sales to-day, 10,407 bales were sold. There was an increased attendance of buyers. The bidding commenced with great spirit. Prices show a general advance, as compared with those of previous sales. For !s civ South Wales greasy and superior cross-breds, prices improve as the sales progress. There is a good Anieriian demand for half-breds.
The Liberals are active. Gladstone made a splendid oration at Chester, and fiercely denounced the Government.
