The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,740,000 quarters. At the wool sales held to-day, there was less demand, and prices were occasionally easier. St. Petersbcrgh, August 18. Great excitement is caused here owing to the police having made a seizure of a quantity of gunpowder and explosives. Nihilists are suspected to be implicated.
