(Fl'-O-M OUR OWN COMIES-I-ON dents. ) DUisEDEs. August 13. In the case 51' Donald v. Procter, a rule absolute for nonsuit was granted, with costs. The Procter and Steward appeal has been abandoned. The trustee's report in Chalmers Reid's estate shows a deficiency at the date of bankruptcy of L 7075. The profit and loss
account is L 4421, of which L 2985 are unaccounted for. The liabilities were understated by L 2599, which was due to the Colonial" Building Society, whilst the value of the assets was grossly over-esti-mated. The actual assets unsecured are L 244, leaving the above deficit. The claims on the estate amount to L9OOO. The trustee thinks that the estate will not realise more than fourpence in the pound.

The Grey ticket for the City (Messrs. Macandrew, Turnbull, and Davie) is meeting with favor.
