(from our own correspondent.) DUJSTEDIN". June 7. Ail eighth share in the Blue Spur claim sold for L9OO. The legal practitioners to-day resolved to form a District Law Society. A large party went to Wingatui this afternoon to witness the turning of the first sod of the central railway by Mr. Vincent Pyke. Walter Bell and Company are the successful tenderers for the Dnnedin railway station reclamation, at L 55,000. CIffiISTCHURCH. June 7. The contemplated procession of the unemployed did not come off. The number out of work lias much decreased. Preparations were made to take 40 to Waipara, but only eight turned up. Several applied to enlist in the Armed Constabulary, but facilities for enlistment do not exist.
