SOUTHLAND COURSING MEETING.
Invercargill, June 6. The second day's coursing was not so well patronised as the first day's. The following were the results : PUPPY STAKES—FIRST COURSES. Mr. H. Blackham's Shadow beat Mr. M'Callum's Blue Bell. SECOND TIES. Mr. Sutton's Referee beat Mr. Powell's Nora. Mr, 0. Howard's Harmony beat Mr. Sutton's Ranger. Mr. Sutton's Rattler and Mr. Blackham's Shadow failed to get a course. I The third ties were not run, the owners j agreeing to divide, Referee and Harmony receiving Ll2 each ; Rattler and Shadow L 6 each.
ALL-AGED STAKES —SECOND TIES. Mr. Kingsland's Kip beat Mr. Sutton's Rufus. Mr. J. B. Sutton's Fawn beat Messrs. Sutton's Duchess of Linton.
Mr. C. Howard's Austin Friar beat M. J. F. Wade's Lilly. lr ' THIRD TIES. Kip beat Austin Friar. The deciding course was not run, the owners of Kip and Fawn having arranged to divide the stakes, L 5 (?) in all.
