CROWN LANDS SALE.
A side of Crown lands situated in the Kurow district, 12 miles from the township of Duntroon, took place at the Courthouse to-day. The upset was L 3 per acre. There was a large attendance, and the bidding for the sections sold was very spirited. The deferred payment sections were taken first, and resulted as follow : Sec. 7 block 11., 211 a Or 3Sp, L 4 13s 9d per acre, Mr. Lease ; sec. 2 block 111., 224 a 3r 29p, L 6 17s 6d per acre, Mr. Hawthorn Stewart; sec. 3 blook 111., 222 a lr 13p, Lo 12s (3d per acre, Mr. Peter M'Donald ; soc. 4 block 111., 109 a 3r 29p, Lo lis 3d per acre, Mr. Strachan ; sec. 7, block 111., 173 a 3r 38p, L 8 5s per acre, Mr. J. Grant ; sec. 9 block 3, 150 a 2r 2Gp, L 3 2s Cd per acre, Mr. George Sumpter, agent for Mr F. W. Hill. Out of the sixteen sections of rural land offered for competition only ono was sold—Sec. 10, block 1., to Mr. George Sumpter, agent for Mr. Christian Hille, at L 3 per- acre, subject to a valuation of L 5,
