A Gazette published a dispatch, dated March 1, announcing that messengers from Cetewayo had arrived, asking for a suspension of hostilities, and resumption of negotiations. Cetewayo says he never intended to fight, and is doing so only in consequence of the British attack. April 5. Prince Nvoungava has returned to Burmah disguised, and the Chief Commissioner of British Burniah has been sent back to Calcutta. Cambridge won the boat race easily. (SPECIAL TO MELBOURNE ARGUS.) London, April 5. There is a revolution in Albania. Money is in moderate demand. The stock markets are firmer since the Budget was disclosed. Government debentures are steady. Wheat, inactive; New Zealand, 48s to 495.
