INTERPROVINCIAL CRICKET MATCH.
(FROM OCIi OWN COUUKSroXDKST.) Chki.stciickgii, February 10. The match against Otago commenced to-dav. at a quarter-past twelve. The weather was dull, but fine. The Otago players went in first, M'Donncll and Rose acting as umpires. Paramor and Douglas were the first to bat. The former was bowled in the first over for two. In the .second over Douglas was caught oft' Ashby. Vernon then made a slight stand with M'Xeil. but was bowled for ten. Haskell, a left-hander, followed, and, with Clarke, brought the score up to 30, when the latter was bowled. Five wickets are down for 31 runs. Haskell next succumbed, playing 1 very tamely. Beard now took the" ball as bowler, and in his turn was relieved by Turner, who bowled Craw3h.i\v, 51—7—11, and Turner afterwards howled Fulton. Ashby clean bowled Glen, and Austin, a left-handed player, carried out his bat. The batting was weak throughout. Ashby,' W. Frith, and Turner bowled well. Beard was unlucky.
