AUCTIONEER'S REPORT. Mr. A. H. Maude report# that he sold a small mob of store cattle by auction, at Mackay's Yards, on Saturday, 30th ultimo. There was a small attendance, but most of those present being buyers, the bidding was fairly spirited. He quotes prices as follows : —Yearlings (steers and heifers), L2 7s ; two-year-old steers and heifers, in fair store condition, but small framed, L 4 17s 6d ; three and four year old steers, L 6 17s Gd ; aged cows, from L 4 to L 5 7a (id.
ENGLISH COMMERCIAL.
(BY CABLE.) London, Nov. 30. The money market is rather firm. Bank rate on three months bills, 4Jt. Government securities steady. Consols 96. Wool dull; prices as compared with last series show a decline on best scoured of inferior, 2d to Reserve lots are neglected. New Zealand greasy is Id lower ; cross-breds are depressed. Of 70,000 bales catalogued, 10,000 were withdrawn. The corn market is firm and steady. New Zealand wheat, 42s to 475.
