The Russian Ambassador has informed the Porte that the withdrawal of Russian troops from San Stefano has been stopped in consequence of the murders which have occurred in the evacuated districts.

Great surprise is felt here at the action of the Russians in re-occupying Tcheckmedji. England demands an explanation.
