WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following is the conclusion of our report of yesterday's meeting of the: County Council. On the motion of Mr. Thomson, •ecottdod by Mr. Murcott, it waa decided, j after a discussion, that the road from the Island Stream to the junction of the five roads in the Waiaroka riding be declared a,county road. The Council then proceeded to make the necessary arrangements for the olection of members of the Council. Tho following polling places were decided upon, and returning officers appointed : Ohau riding, Middloton's residence, T. Middleton, Returning Officer. Otematakau riding, M'Pherson's store, James M'PJiorson. Returning Officer. Otekaiko, Mr. M'Kellar's residence, Mr M'Kollar, Returning Officer. Awamoko, Mrs. Frickor's residence, Mr. William Monteath, Returning Officer. Papakaio, Pukeuri Point Schoolhouse, Mr. Wallace, Returning Officer. Cavo Valley Schoolhouse, Mr. James Martin, Returning Officer. Kakanui, Otepopo Schoolhouse, Mr. Pirie, Returning Officer. Moeraki, Hampden Schoolhouse, Mr. Watt, Returning Officer. It was agreed that the next meeting of tho Council be held on Thursday, 7th of November. Accounts amounting to L 485 17s 4d were passed for payment, and the Council rose.
