AUCTIONEER'S REPORTS. Messrs. Connell and Clowes held a sale on Saturday afternoon, at the Commercial Yards, of horses, &c, on account of Mr. a Finlinson. There was a good attendance ot buyers, with brisk biddings, all the horses being sold at satisfactory prices. Draught geldings fetched L3B toLS4 10s ; do. mares, L6l to LG3; feed oats, 3s lid; Chinese goeae, 15s Gd to lGs ; a set harness, &c, at satisfactory rates. TIMARU. September 21. (From tho Timaru Horald.) Messrs. Jonas, Hart, and Wildie report : —Fat Cattle : Tho market is well supplied, rates ruling at about last week's quotations. ( Thoy quote prime at equal to 40s per lOOlbs. Store Cattle: Tho demand is very good for all kinds of store stock. They have sold various mobs during tho week which show the following rates :-Steers and heifers, two to three years, from L 6 15s to 1,7 2s Gd; do do. lifteon months to two years, L 4 los to Lb 10s ; yearlings, L 3 IBs to L 4. MiMi Cows arc not in good demand, except well-bred and in full profit. Their transactions for loho weok show for this class from Ll4 10s to LlB. Horses : Tho domand for good Atauueh hoavy draught stock still continues very active. Bosidcs the whole of Mr. A. Bennett's horses and plant, a large number of useful draught mares and geldings were entered at their yards to-day, the whole ot which were sold. They quote heavy staunch draught from L6O to 1,70 ; medium do, L4S to L 56 ; MfM do, L2S to L 36*. On account of Mr A. lB»ott, thoy sold an entire colt, throe-year-*!; by Knottingly, for L 36! ; one express with two horses and harness, Jjlls ; two draught fillios, L3l and Lol ; drays, L 8 to L 23.
