WATERWORKS PIPES.

The several tenders for supplying the necessary pipes, &c, for the Waterworks were considered at the meeting of the Municipil Council last evening. The following report upon the tenders by the Engineer was read : Oamaru Waterworks, Engineer's Office, Oamaru. "2 >lh August, IS7S. To his Worship the Mayor and Councillors. After some discussion, during which it was pointed out that none of the tenderers had, as required by the conditions, given prices for tools for laying the pipes, the tender of Mr. John Anderson, Christchurch, was accepted.
