In the House of Commons Lord Hartingdon's motion censuring the Government for undertaking responsibilities without the consent of Parliament was negatived on a division by 338 to 195. Earls Beaconsfied and Salisbury were presented with the Freedom of the City of London to-day. At a banquet at the Mansion House afterwards Earl Beaconsfield said that he believed peace would be durable.
