(PRR PRESS AGENCY.) Wellington, August S. The Municipal Conference has passed a I resolution that boroughs should appoint inspectors of meat when neoessary, Tt has further resolved that all streets shall be (19 feet wide. The term "private .street''is entirely done away with. Evenstreet is to have two entrances, each of the full width of the street, and to be open from the ground upwards, and all ways less than 33 feet in width to be secured against the entrance of animals or vehicles. The Council not to be liable for any damages caused by any putting- or alterations in roadway or paths. The Council can direct any person building to so make his level as to prevent the collection of any stagnant water. A resolution was unanimously agreed to for the abolishing of the present method of raising loans, and substituting a simpler and more expeditious means. No regular Parliamentary agent is to be appointed, In the Municipal Conference, thequestion of loans was discussed, and referred to Committee for further report. It was agreed that it was not advisable to increase the rate of interest at which Municipalities can borrow to 8 per cent. It was resolved that it is desirable that as tho reclamation adjacent to the Boroughs extends, the Municipal boundaries should follow it. The subject of Charitable Aid will be discussed to-morrow.
