If the Council should reduce or should neglect to take action when one month is elapsed after the date of the money bill being sent to the Upper House, it will be presented to the Governor for royal assent, and will become law. Dr. Bradford, who arrived per Arawata from New Zealand, was arrested and lodged in gaol as being guilty of contempt in taking a ward of the Court out of the jurisdiction of the Court.
