Sir John Coocle does not condemn Mr. Simpson's original scheme, but that agreed to at the conference on February 20, which proposes to add 160 acres to the reclamation area. If Sir John Coode's report is not mis-read, the battle of the docks will have to be fought afresh. The Education Board has so far given in that they have submitted to the School Committee the testimonials of the six applicants for vacancies in Duuodin. The School Committee lust night refused to give the use of schools for the teaching of religion on Saturdays. Mr. C. S. Reeves is announced a candidate for the seat in the House of Kepresentatives, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr. Larnsush.
