(FROir OUR OV.V GOifUHSI'OSDEST.) Duxkdin, Juno 4. The following special cablegram has been received by the Star : Loxtjon, Juno 3. The Emperor William of Germany was shot at on Sunday While driving in the Untcr den Linden. The assassin used a ship's pistol. The shot struck the Emperor in the arm and face. The bullc+s have been extracted. The patriotic excitement is unbounded. Melbourst:, June 4. Seventy lives were lost on the Loch Ard. A boy and girl Were saved by a miracle, having drifted ashore, but the latter is not likely to live. Tho ship .struck on a r«.>ck and sank in ten minutes. The Blackbird was insured in tho Now Zealand uliico for L 5,700, of which L7OOO was re-insured.
