An important land sale v,-ill take place on the 7th 'instant, at Messrs. Bullock and Co.'s Auction Mart, Ashbiirton. It will he seen on reference to our advertising columns that Messrs.- Miles", Tlassal, and Co., in conjunction with Koberfc Wilkin and Co., will sell, on the before-mentioned date, at Ashbnrton, the remainder of the Wakanui Cr>:i.'k property, including the homestead, w lich has been subdivided into three farms, each consisting of 350 acres, and ten other farms ranging in size from 251 to 44 acres. It is well known that this land is amongst the best in the Canterbury Provincial district, being exceedingly rich and suitable for agricultural and pastoral purposes ; and, what may be considered an immense advantage, it is situated within a short distance from the prosperous and rising town of Ashburton. *jT''is sale will offer a splendid opportunity to those agriculturists who are desirous of acquiring guod workable farms, in sizes to suit the amount of their capital, more especially as the terms arc exceedingly liberal, and such as should operate as an incentive to agriculturists of small means to make an effort to possess themselves of what will in all probability in the course of a fewyears give them a competence. We cannot do better than refer our readers to the announcement in another column, where tho terms are explicitly set forth.
