MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Council was held last evening. at the Municipal Chambers. There were present His Worship the Mayor, and Councillors Booth. Procter, Gihbs, Mainland, Headland, iSpenee, and Familton.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, and the outward correspondence was read and approved. A letter was read from Messrs. An application from Mr. ,J. White for n slaughtering license for the Waiareka district. was referred to the Inspector of Nuisances for report. .Mr. J.
