SIR GEORGE GREY VISITS OAMARU.
_ Yesterday the Mayor and Mr. Sampler. Chairman of the Harbour Board, telegraphed to the Hon. the .Premier. tisking him if lie would visit Oamaru, and as will lie s'-en below Sir George Grey lias intimated his intention of being here on 'Wednesday next. The following are copies of the telegram sent by Mr. Sumpter and Sir George Grey's reply thereto : " l.!on. ihe Premier, Sir Gorge Grey. " Shall you be favouring Oamaru with a visit this time. Shall be glad if you can inspect our Harbour Works. " Geokgb Soil'TKlt, " Chairman."
[KKPI.Y.j "George Sumpter, Esq.. Cnairman Harbour Board, Oamaru. "Thank you for your invitation. I am able to state that I will leave Dunedin early on Wednesday next, for Oamaru, remaining there for that night. " G. Grey."
