Wynks and Kennedy represented Dnnedin at the wickets, Edwards and Millington bowling. Wynks should have been run out before troubling the scorers, had the ball been properly fiflded by the younger Millington. Shortly after the telegraph board allowed 10, Lowe relieved Edwards, and the change proved effectual, Edwai'ds disposing of Wynks by a well-judged catch. 1—6—13. Millington continuing expensive, G. Fen wick relieved him of the ball. In his second over, Kennedy was run out. 2 17 —29. Dixon joined Morrison, and the latter, hesitating, lost his wicket. 3-4-40. Several changes of bowling were tried. Moore, after contributing a brace of twos, was bowled by J. Millington. 4—4—50. ' Clark got into double figures, when he i was caught by Edwards off J. Millington. 5—10—70. Rhodes, after contributing a single, was smartly caught by E. Booth at point. 6- 1 74.
