The salmon ova lias all been dejwsifced in the various rivers with a very small per centage of losa, Mr. Firth, of Auckland, lu\s a letter in to-day's Argus, from which it appears that Sir Samuel Wilson is not entitled to so much credit in the matter as the public are disposed to give him.
There has been some very large sales of stock during the last few days. At Robertson's sale at Colac the large sum of L 20,000 was realised. The highest price paid for a coloniaLbred bull was 2450 guineas. The entries for the Australian Cup have closed with 27, and for the JSTe\v-= market Handicap with 44. The revenue returns just published show an increase of LIB,OQO on last quarter.
