FROM OTJR OWN CORRESPONDENT. Q. Wellington', November 15. There was considerable discussion on the Canterbury clauses of the Waste Lands Bill. Clauses providing that the maximum rental should be Od per head for sheep, aud that the tenure should be ten years were opposed strenuously by Messrs. Sheehan, Rees, Stout, and the Premier, but were carried \>y a large ma.iorto". The Bill will yet, however, have a great deal of opposition, and may be thrown out.
