Arrived —Rotorua and Hero and Sydney. The Rotorua sails South at four o'clock this afternoon. Passengers per Rotorua: Mrs. Taylor; Messrs. Kaief, Fashen, Newburk; Captains Austin and Robinson ; and 11 in the steerage. The barque Pleaides, from Wellington to Newcastle, had a rough passage. During a heavy gale the sea broke over her, straining her seriously. A man fell overboard, but was picked up. The tidal phenomenon caused a rush and a fall of 3ft. 6in. in Sydney. At Newcastle the water fell 20 inches in four minutes.
