BAD TIMES IN AMERICA.
Grahamstown, May 22.
A private letter received here from San Francisco says they are having bad times
of it there, owing to the failure of the crops in the southern - portion of the States, and the depreciation of stocks, by which even every second man is ruined. It advises people who are making a living in New Zealand to remain.
