MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THIS DAY. (Before T. W. Parkeh, Esq., It.M.) DESERTION.

William Mowbray, a lad of about 14 years of ago, was charged with having, on the 13th March, deserted from the employ of his lawful master, Mr. Robert Morrison, Otepopo. The boy had been hired from the Industrial School, Dunedin, some two years since, and en the day named he absconded from his employer, being found this morning by Constable Townselid near Cave Val'ey. His Worship ordered the delinquent to be returned to his employer, who was willing to receive him.
