OTEPOPO ROAD BOARD.
Tlie monthly meeting of this Board was held yesterday. Present —Messrs. Anderson (chairman), Morton, Watson, Russell, Mitchell, Wewlands, Mar.sh_3.lJ, and M'Donald.
Mr. M'Donald proposed, and Mr. Newlands seconded, *'' That the minutes of last meeting be adopted as read." The Clerk, to the Kakanui Board, wrote, intimating that a sub-committee of that Board had been appointed to confer with this one, re the alteration of the course of the Incholine Main District Road to Maheno.
Mr. Newlands proposed, and Mr. Marshall seconded, " That the three Sydney members be appointed to represent this Board." Mr. M'Doin t ald moved, and Mr. Newlands seconded, " That the Clerk take necessary steps for closing the road through to Sections 24, 23, 22, 13, and 8, Block V. ; and 79, Block VI."
Mr. Newlands gave {notice that at next meeting he would msve that the resolution in the mirmte-bouk of the late Allday Local Board, relative to the closing of the road on the south side of the Waiaimkarua River, be rescinded.
Several accounts were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned till the last Friday in March.
