GOOD TEMPLARY.
♦ A meeting of the Degree of Charity members was held in the Mechanics' Institut3, a few evenings since, the District Deputy-Brother pi'esiding. After stating the object for which the meeting was called, namely, the opening of a Degree Temple, showing his authority from the Grand Lodge of New Zealand South, and producing the Charter granted to the New Temple, which was unanimously named the " Relief " Degree Temple, the officers for the current term were duly installed :—Degrees : Templar, Brother Hamilton ; Vice-Templar, Brother Weir; Secretary, Brother Cowper; Financial Secretary', Brother Campbell; Treasurer, Brother' Vincen t; Chaplain, Brother Kennedy : Marshall, Brother Kilpatrick; Guard, Brother M'Donald ; Sentinal, Brother Madden; D.R.H.S., Sister Harding ; D.L.H.S., Brother Calder. It was resolved that the Temple meet- j ings be held in the Mechanics' Hall on the first Monday of every month. Some routine business was disposed of, and the Temple was formally closed.
