All Hack Events

(From "N.Z. Truth's" South Auckland Rep.) THE Matamata Racing Club had its inaugural test out of an all-hack programme last Saturday. The totalisator was back a matter of £1500 m a total, of £18,249. Varied were the opinions at the conclusion of the fixture as to whether the club had taken the right steps m deleting all open events. More than one owner and trainer "Truth's" representative conversed with on the point, thought that at least two events for the open class would be beneficial. However, it is hardly fair to judge the latest step on just one meeting and Matamata, no doubt, will adhere to its present policy m the programme it draws up for the iiew season.
