CELEBRATION
Caledonian Club Jubilee
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Dunedin Rep.) pALEDONIAN" CLUB, the second oldest v* m Dunedin, celebrated its jubilee last Saturday. Only one original member is alive — Mr. John Ogg, 84 years of age, who laid down the. original green, and had care of it up till quite recently. At the jubilee dinner, Mr. H. McLeod, the club's president, gave an interesting resume of the organisation's history, ,and it was very evident that, If enthusiasm counts for anything, another fifty years of prosperity is ahead. The local fourring competition, which provides an opportunity for a c1 vbs strongest players to get together, is to have its final game next
Saturday. Dunedin club has a great record m this contest, having won It far more often than any other, and It must be m the final game this season, for It i has won its section outright. The interclub games were resume^ on [Saturday, and as two or three clubs are m the lead with little separating them the interest is well sustained.
