HIS ITINERARY
Weight For Age
For Rapier
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Christchurch Rep.) There is nothing m work at Riccarton which looks m better health ' . to tackle hard work than Rapier. LIE will be prepared for a spring and summer programme similar to that which he accomplished last year.
Hugh Nurse has no intention of knocking the Greyspear horse' a b out under handicap conditions, but will have him ready to compete m races like' the Harcourt Cup, the Stead Gold Cup, the Clifford Plate, the Trentham Gold Cup and the Awapuni Gold Cup. Rapier • will contest the sprint events at the Ashburton, Geraldine and South Canterbury meetings, and judging by his present condition he will not take long to come to hand. He looks sure to get round about the maximum for this year's New Zealand Oup, but he will not be hurried .until the summer season is at hand.
